Sensitivity and touchiness

Openness or a closed door to the divine world

October 26th 2024
True sensitivity is complete openness to the divine world, that is, to beauty, love and truth, and a closed door to what is negative and obscure. The thin-skinned touchiness that makes people acutely aware of insults and offences is not true sensitivity. What is left for all the poor wretches for whom heaven, the angels, friends and beauty simply do not exist, except for the wicked and unjust people about whom they spend their time complaining?
You must not confuse sensitivity and touchiness;* touchiness is an unhealthy manifestation of sensitivity. True sensitivity, on the other hand, is a high degree of evolution that opens us to the heavenly realms and enables us to attune ourselves to their vibrations.
