To know, will, dare and keep silent
Precept of the initiates
November 9th 2024
Human beings always manage things in such a way that what could be used for their salvation or the salvation of others ultimately serves only to ruin them. Why is this? A lack of enlightenment, greed and the need to control. Look at how many researchers regret revealing the results of their work, because their discoveries immediately fell into the hands of people who misused them to harm their fellow human beings, to dominate, destroy or exploit them.
Even Initiates and spiritual Masters have always been very careful about this, because they realized that the great truths they revealed to help humans could be turned around and used to lead people to their downfall. This is why they gave the precept: ‘Know, will, dare and keep silent.’* When human beings are more evolved, more revelations will be possible. Meanwhile, it is often better to keep quiet and accept the advice of Jesus not to ‘throw pearls before swine’.
