Meditation

Being present and focused in everything that we do

December 11th 2024
When it is time to pray and meditate your mind is often elsewhere. And when you need to attend to your work, you often say to yourself, ‘Oh, I should meditate. I should spend some time in prayer’, and there again you are distracted, so you do your work badly.
Watch yourself and you will see how often your state of mind is not in tune with what you are doing. When you are preparing a meal, doing the washing-up or driving a car, it is not the time to say to yourself, ‘Oh, I should do some meditation.’ You should be focused on the present in everything you do, because there is a time and a place for everything. Otherwise, you will find that there is no time left for anything as your mind is never in the right place, and you are never, really, anywhere.*
