Good (the)

That we wish for may be achieved by others

March 13th 2014
Often you lack the material means to do as much good as you would like. But don’t let that get you down, for you are not entirely powerless all the same. Suppose you come across a beggar in the street and give them a little money, feeling sorry that you cannot give any more; well, you can help them in another way by using the power of thought. Stop a little further on, and concentrate discreetly on sending passers-by the wish to do something for them. What you yourself cannot give, others, inspired by you, will be prompted to give, and you will have taken part in the giving. Do not think that your generosity is limited to what you personally are able to do; it can be expressed just as much through others. And that is also true for any situation where you want to help someone without having the material means to do so. What counts is that you constantly think good thoughts and that you do so with enough power that they end up inspiring others to want to make them happen.
