Buddha

Looking at his right hand: interpretation

September 29th 2011
Some statues of Buddha show him looking intently at his right hand. But is he merely looking at it? Actually, when Buddha is concentrating on his hand, he is communicating with the great hand of the Creator, that is to say, with the whole universe – with the suns, the stars and the nebulae. And, in the hand of the Creator, the line of Saturn is represented by the Milky Way. If Buddha is concentrating on his hand, it is because a hand is not just the physical organ of touch, which we also use as a tool, an implement. It is imbued with a fluidic matter through which it communicates with the subtle bodies of nature. Those who, like Buddha, concentrate on their hand are making contact with the universe. They feel that they themselves are in the hand of the Creator, fed by the energies they receive from the centre of his hand.
