You must never tolerate that state of uncertainty in which opposing tendencies vie for their place within you; otherwise you will end up like an empty apartment in which all sorts of intruders attempt to set up residence and live at the owner’s expense.
When people must be away from their house for a time, they sometimes invite friends to come and look after it. On the physical level, we know very well what must be done, but when it concerns the inner world, we do not realize that we must also take precautions. So, when you are not feeling very sure of yourself, remember to install tenants in all your inner apartments – your physical body, your heart, your intellect and your soul. Call on light beings in the invisible world and say to them, ‘I don’t want undesirable beings to come and take over my place, so I ask you to live in my house for a while.’ Later, you will not want these intelligent, good and vigilant friends to leave, and you will keep them within forever.
