Faults

By taking back the power you gave them, you can free yourself

September 18th 2018
Most people do not know what attitude they should adopt towards their shortcomings and faults. The greater your faults, the more you are afraid of them and humiliated by them, the more you feel helpless to cope with them. Whereas, in fact, it should be just the opposite: you should be proud of them and feel strong. You may think I am joking, but not at all. Think carefully: who gave life to these faults? You yourselves – whether it be consciously or not – you gave life to them and fed them, and they are the fruit of your desires and stubbornness. At first, a fault starts out as something very small – a negative thought, a negative feeling or movement which you keep within yourself and nourish. Little by little, it grows and snowballs, and finally becomes a mountain that blocks your path. Since it is you who fathered it, the greater this fault, the more it tests your strength. And because it is you who gave it its power, why could you not take this very power back and weaken or reduce it? Simply stop feeding it.
