Will of god, the

Does not relate to each one of us

October 9th 2011
So many believers ask themselves really naïve questions about the will of God! They imagine he has specific intentions for them: where they should live, what profession they should pursue… Does he want them to marry and have children, or to remain celibate and devote themselves to him? Is he asking them to support or oppose such and such a person? The truth is that God’s will does not relate to each of our particular issues. God simply wants human beings to study and understand his laws and then strive to put them into practice. Of course, the will of God applies to each of us individually, but we will only know what God expects of us when we have studied the divine will as a principle. Only those who begin by harmonizing with the divine will as it manifests in the principles of wisdom and love can truly know what God expects of them.
