Fire

Teaches us about freedom

December 30th 2018
Fire teaches us about freedom. Consider a wood-burning fire, for example. All the solar energy accumulated in the tree, which is the soul of this tree, frees itself from the form in which it was confined and returns to the celestial regions. It is fire that opens thousands of doorways by means of which the soul of a tree escapes. The sounds, the crackling we hear, are the language of liberation. Where a door is more difficult to open, the soul must knock harder, and all these explosions are the victory songs of the soul as it frees itself. By learning to observe fire, we too can detach ourselves from our envelopes and shells. In order to liberate itself and rediscover its heavenly homeland, our soul needs fire.
