Food

Teaches us through its subtle elements

December 2nd 2011
No one is in any doubt that eating is necessary for the health of the physical body. But does anyone seek to go further, to find out what food can contribute on the subtle planes? If you were able to be sufficiently receptive at mealtimes, you would hear your food telling you how all the energies it contains have travelled across the universe, and which entities have been busy, day and night, making plants grow and infusing them with this or that property, to be useful to God’s children. It has even registered the imprint left by the men and women working in the fields or passing by. Reading books is not the only way to learn. We can also learn through food, and the knowledge we receive while eating is living knowledge, for it pervades the whole substance of our being. The revelations food brings us may not be of the kind we are able to speak about later, for they do not address the intellect, but they are feelings that will enrich our whole being and our whole life.
