Failings

Rather than dwell on them, build the future

December 14th 2011
Your failings are the result of bad habits acquired during your previous incarnations, and when you want to get rid of them, you focus on them and furiously work away at them. Actually, this is not a good way to deal with them. Turn, instead, to what you are able to build for the future. Tell yourself, ‘Now, I am going to create something new’, and work every day with unshakeable faith and absolute conviction. Take all the elements God has given you – thought, feeling, imagination – and strive to project the most beautiful images within: see yourself in music, in light, in the sun, in the perfection of forms, with qualities, gifts and virtues such as kindness, generosity and the ability to support others, to help them and enlighten them. One day, this luminous, perfect image you have built will conceal all the shortcomings and imperfections of the past.
