Words
Watch what you say so as to improve the lives of those who are listening
August 30th 2021
If you speak without thinking, without weighing your words, you are like a person who enjoys tossing lit matches everywhere they go, which naturally starts fires. Even if you apologize afterwards, ‘Oh, I did not mean to say that, I am sorry’, it is too late; the houses around you are already burning and reduced to ashes. And that is how you help the forces of darkness in their destructive enterprises.
People are never sufficiently conscious of the damage their words can cause. If you were to seek the origin of the misunderstandings, discord and conflict between human beings, you would see that in most cases, it is the spoken word: someone uttered some nonsense without any real purpose in mind, for the pleasure of talking or to appear interesting.
From now on, try to watch what you say. When you have to speak, do so to improve the lives of those who are listening to you, to enlighten their minds, to warm their hearts and especially to direct their will in the service of a sublime ideal.
