Liberation
The soul needs the help of fire to free itself

Watch a wood fire burning... Fire teaches us to detach ourselves from coarse, material things – our envelopes, our shells.
All the solar energy accumulated within the tree – that is to say the soul of the tree – is released from the form that held it captive, and returns to the celestial regions from which it came. Yes, the soul goes back to its homeland but it needs the help of fire to free itself. It is fire that opens the thousands of doorways through which the soul of the tree escapes. The crackling sounds we hear are the language of liberation. Where a door is more difficult to open, the soul must pound harder and all these explosions are the soul’s song of victory as it frees itself.
