Fire represents the boundary between the physical plane and the etheric plane
January 3rd 2022
Fire represents the boundary between the physical and the etheric planes, and this is why initiates consider it to be the most powerful means of communion with the spiritual world. If initiates customarily light a candle before beginning a work of any importance, it is because they know that fire enables them to enter the subtler regions in which their thoughts and their voices will be heard, and where they will find the conditions they need to realize their goals.
Every genuine magus has a very powerful bond with fire. Although religion has progressively lost its understanding of these initiatic practices, the tradition of lighting candles or vigil lights in churches still exists. This proves that human beings have unconsciously preserved the ancient knowledge that the presence of fire guarantees realization.
