Will
It operates in matter and will one day follow thought

We must cultivate both the outer and the inner sides of our being – the outer side for society, and the inner side for ourselves. We must live our inner life for ourselves, but always remain conscious that this life spreads out, and will one day affect the whole world, every being on earth and in heaven.
Although our external activity is very limited, our inner activity is vast. Our actions affect only a few people, while our feelings and especially our thoughts can reach all beings. Thought is far more powerful and embraces infinitely more things than the will; it is also subtler and has greater possibilities. With thought, we can do anything we want, even travel in space. Whereas the will, which operates in matter, meets enormous resistance and its sphere of activity remains very limited. One day, after many reincarnations and tremendous psychic work on our part, the activity of our will shall immediately follow that of our thought.
