Fire

The spiritual fire of divine love transforms human beings

Human beings are like lumps of cold, grey iron. Only contact with fire, spiritual fire, can transform them. Physical fire has the power to make iron malleable so that a blacksmith can give it a new shape. In the same way, the spiritual fire* of divine love can plunge a person into a spiritual state wherein they rid themselves of their old, drab, ungainly form and receive a new, luminous, radiant one. This is something that true mystics and initiates have always known. They have learned to find the true fire that burns within their soul and spirit and to plunge themselves into it so as to become completely malleable. Then, by means of a work with thought, they pound and hammer out new forms for themselves.
