As soon as you wake in the morning, begin by thanking the lord

Every morning, as soon as you wake up, call on joy and love. Why always start the day with negative thoughts about your lack of money, the infidelity of the one you love, the conflict with your neighbour or co-worker? You will have plenty of time during the day to think about all these things.
But when you wake up, begin by thanking the Lord,* saying, ‘Lord God, I am alive and well again today. I can breathe, walk, eat, see, hear, think and love! Thank you for these priceless gifts.’ Yes, remember to rise every morning with joy, giving thanks to the Lord.
