Time
When it comes to the spiritual life, never set a time limit on your work
March 21st 2025
Work with patience and love, for what you truly desire you will one day achieve. When? That should not be your concern. When it comes to the spiritual life, we should never set a time limit on our work and efforts. How long will it take you to become perfect? Do not worry about that, it is not your business.
And if you are ill, do not say, ‘I want to be cured tomorrow!’ Rather say, ‘Dear God, time does not matter to me, I accept your will, do with me as you please. All I ask is to learn to know You and love You, the rest can wait as long as You see fit.’ If you do this you will triumph over time. But never issue orders to the Lord by setting Him a deadline for your achievements.*
