Communion

True communion is the nourishment of our soul and spirit

You do not help human beings to reach a better understanding of the spiritual life by making them believe that they have only to take the bread and wine of Communion to be in direct touch with the Deity. Why try to depreciate God by shutting Him up in something material? Why mislead human beings with such false beliefs?
The meaning of Communion is so much greater. Communion is the very condition of life. How do we communicate? In all kinds of ways, starting with the food we eat every day. For although food is material, it is impregnated with the life of the Creator, and by a work of thought, of consciousness, we can learn to extract from that matter subtler elements with which to nourish our soul and spirit. This is true communion: the nourishment of our soul and spirit.*
