Gesture

The outcome of an entire life

When you are not used to observing and thoroughly studying the slightest details of everyday life, you do not see what people’s behaviour might reveal. Someone does something surprising or even disturbing, and it is generally thought to be random or due to some sudden influence. No, the truth is that this person started to infringe the laws a long time ago, and now the results are showing. A gesture is never isolated. A gesture is the outcome of an entire history that shows how this person has grown, how they have lived, felt and acted.*
To anyone who is able to situate it correctly and link it to a whole, a gesture is the reflection of an entire world, the consequence of a whole train of prior thoughts, feelings and actions. As long as human beings stubbornly refuse to see the connection between things, they will never be good psychologists.
