Comparable to fuel

It is hard not to be saddened when you see the state of so many young people who have had sexual relations prematurely. You sense that something within them is already worn out, spent. In fact, many of them say so themselves. They should have known that frequent volcanic eruptions are not without consequences: somewhere in their psychic structure, this effervescence expends tremendous energy – all their most precious quintessences are burned up.
You may ask, ‘Does this mean that we must never have sexual relations, or pleasure of any kind?’ No, but not just any which way. Everything can be magnificent and constructive as long as you realize that sexual energy must be used with care. It is an energy that can be compared to fuel: those who are ignorant and foolhardy are burned, for this force burns up their quintessence. Whereas those who know how to handle it can use it to fly through space. Yes, there is no better image to sum up the question of sexual energy than that of fuel.*
