Self-control
Once we lose it, it takes a great deal of time to recover it
November 10th 2025
When you do everything possible to lose your self-control, allowing yourself to be taken over by lower entities whose only interest is to destroy human beings, no one else is to blame but you. You should tell yourself, ‘Oh, I haven’t worked properly! I haven’t studied well!’ and take yourself in hand to rectify the situation. Obviously this will take some time. People who have spent years harbouring chaotic thoughts and feelings cannot expect to put everything right within the space of a few days. They will have to work for a very long time to get results.
Human beings do not know the laws: they live foolishly for years, and when they eventually decide to change their ways, they imagine it can be done in just a few minutes. Unfortunately that is impossible, whatever they may think. Just as it has taken considerable time to destroy themselves, so it takes a great deal of time for them to recover.*
