Subtle vibrations
They go unnoticed by ordinary human perception

The subtle vibrations of the spiritual life go unnoticed by ordinary human perception. This is why it is so difficult for people to understand a great Master or even to sense what his life is like, even when they live in close contact with him. It is beyond them, because they have not developed the centres that would enable them to capture such subtle vibrations.
The vibrations of an Initiate barely even touch beings who have developed their higher bodies (causal, buddhic, and atmic), because they pass through the physical, etheric, astral and mental bodies without leaving the slightest trace. They are exactly like an electric current, which can pass through a wall without leaving a trace, whereas a stone cannot pass through a wall without making a hole in it. So, you must be very clear about this: you may read great spiritual works and meet the greatest spiritual masters, but it will not do you any good until you have worked to refine your perceptions.*
