Divine justice

Its views are different than those of human justice

Fair trade is the basis of all social life, and is a concept that can be summed up in two words: give and take. On a material level, the issue is clear for everyone―we all know what a fair and equitable exchange is. But there is much more to it, because the law of exchange applies to all realms of existence. Someone may say: ‘I am honest and upright, I pay my taxes, pay my employees a decent wage, and I do not cheat my customers.’ That may be so, but how do they behave towards their parents, spouse and children?
It is so much easier to be honest and just on the material plane than it is on the psychic plane. Some people go to great lengths to display outward signs of honesty and fairness, the better to conceal their dishonest dealings in personal relationships. They may be able to deceive others―and then again not always―but Divine Justice can never be duped. Divine Justice and human justice hold very different views on what it truly means to give and take.
