Forms
They are useful but we must seek the principle beyond them
August 21st 2026
There is nothing wrong in possessing statues or paintings of the Deity, and kneeling before them to pray, as long as you fully aware that the statue is not the Deity. If you pray to a statue, it is not the statue that will help or protect you. All it can do is serve to put you in touch with the Deity, and although that is important and can be very helpful, you must remember that a statue is only a form.
Forms are useful, even necessary to religion, but you must not stop there. Always seek the principle beyond them, and link yourself to that principle in order to make its qualities your own.
