To be happy, human beings must revert to the qualities of the heart

Knowledge is situated in the head, and power in our arms and legs, by means of which we act and we move. Between the head and the limbs lies the heart. If the heart were not there, the head and limbs could do nothing. It is the heart that keeps them working by contracting and expanding all the time so that life continues to flow. If the heart stops beating then everything else stops with it.
But human beings have abandoned the heart, symbolically speaking. They seek power and, since money means power, they seek power through money. They also seek knowledge, but as they misuse it, all it does is lead them astray. This is why they are not happy. They are more powerful and more learned, but they are not happy. To be happy they must come back to the qualities of the heart: goodness, gentleness, sympathy, generosity and forgiveness.
