Hell is the lower astral world

Before launching into all kinds of psychic experiments that may put you in danger, first practise self-mastery, watching carefully over your desires and aspirations. In this way, you can be sure that you will be able to defend yourself even if you are exposed to danger, because the perils that you encounter in the psychic world are as numerous and formidable as those of the physical world, if not more so. If you have not applied yourselves, you will be vulnerable, and then there will be nothing left for you but to wail and go around complaining to everyone about your situation.
So many so-called spiritual people end up victims of the entities and forces they have foolishly called forth. They believe that they are being chased by monsters, their life is a veritable hell. Of course, they do not understand how this has happened to them. Yet it is quite simple: by seeking to enter the astral world for all the wrong reasons—curiosity and cupidity—they have attracted entities that really make their life hell. For that is what hell is: the lower astral world.
