The path along which human beings travel is a circular one

Anyone who enjoys throwing pieces of broken glass on the road, saying, ‘What does it matter? I won’t be the one to get hurt’, is mistaken, because the road we follow is not a straight line. Yes, you may not be aware of this, but the path along which human beings travel is a circular one. So one day, that person will have to travel along the same road where previously they spread danger, and will have to suffer the consequences of their actions. If you dig holes or set traps along the road, the laws will take you past that very spot again and make you fall into these same holes and into these same traps.
You will then have time to reflect on your misadventures, to grumble that there are wicked and stupid people around, and try to discover who the culprits are. You will, of course, have forgotten that the culprit was you, yourself. Those who live with a devil-may-care attitude create all the problems that will, one day or another, plague their life.
