Life’s truth
Is more important than scientific truth

For a great many people, intellectuals in particular, the only truth is scientific truth. In fact, life’s truth is more important than scientific truth. And life’s truth means learning to place all lives within the context of the cosmos to see how they resonate in harmony and play a part in the life of the Whole. So it is not enough to observe and study minutely all the elements of nature. We must go further and see what connects them, so that we can understand how life circulates from one to the other and is not something they possess separately.
True knowledge is found in life. Take the elements apart, and life is no longer there. Knowing that a mineral or a vegetable has such and such a property, smell, taste and colour is not what is most important, for as long as you treat these separately you cut them off from life. Connect them to all the other elements of earth and heaven, and life appears, and true knowledge is yours.
