Fasting

Another way of nourishing oneself

March 13th 2011
It is good to fast occasionally for at least twenty-four hours. Those who know how to fast understand that fasting is another way of nourishing oneself. Why yes, when we deprive our physical body of food for a while, the other more subtle bodies – the etheric, astral and mental – begin to take nourishment. When our physical body does not receive all the food it is used to having, an alarm is sounded. The entities in our body attending to our survival immediately come down from a higher realm to bring us what we are lacking, and we begin to absorb certain subtle elements from the atmosphere. And so our breathing improves, and soon we feel nourished, for even if it is not from the physical plane, what we have received is still food. And if we stop breathing for a few seconds, other higher entities on the astral and mental planes feed us. So fasting is really another form of nourishment. In order to put it into practice, however, we need instruction, and we should take precautions. Fasting is dangerous for those who do not know that certain rules have to be respected.
