Impulsiveness

It is vital to learn to control ourselves

June 23rd 2024
Imagine a man who is very dynamic, hot-headed and even violent. He is so curt and emphatic that he can hardly open his mouth without angering, offending or wounding other people. His impulsive temperament leads to these outbursts and causes damage.
Then, one day, finally realizing that such an attitude is extremely detrimental, he takes himself in hand and, after a while, by dint of willpower, he manages to be more moderate and conciliatory, and his life begins to change. Fundamentally, he is the same. He is still quite capable of hitting out with his words or his fists – and this will be true to the end of his days – but thanks to his strength of will he manages to control himself. Unfortunately, too few are willing to undertake such efforts, and yet it is absolutely vital for you to learn to control and master yourselves, and to find just the right gesture, word or expression that will do no damage.*
