Receiving its light as we receive air, water and food

Why do we go to see the sun rising in the morning? In order to receive its light, just as we receive air, water and food. We focus on the sun’s rays and ask them, ‘O luminous rays, drive away these inner clouds that only your light can dispel.’ Light then enters us through tiny channels and works within us, communicating to our whole being its subtle, harmonious vibrations. Of course, this work could take place without our realizing it, but if we are attentive and fully willing to participate in this work, the results will be even better.
So, watch the sunrise with the conviction that something magnificent is germinating and growing inside you and before long, you will sense the vibration of new forces.*
