Becoming sensitive to the sun’s rays

Most people are able to experience wonderful sensations when they eat, drink, kiss, and so on, but put them in front of a sunrise and they feel nothing but boredom. Why? Because their lower nature, which has too much influence over them, reacts only to the coarsest sensations, while the sun’s ever so subtle rays leave them indifferent.
A criterion for disciples who have set out on the path of evolution is their sensitivity to the sun’s rays, a feeling that these rays speak to them, and bring them lucidity, clarity, peace and joy. The sun’s rays can plunge our heart and soul into a state of rapture, but it is up to us to raise our level of consciousness in order to experience these states.*
