Flexibility

It implies wisdom, being flexible in life

November 18th 2025
Life presents us with complex situations every day, and we need to learn to be flexible in order to cope with them. There are people who react in the same way, whatever the circumstances, using the same means and the same methods; but as every problem requires its own specific solution, these people keep crashing into obstacles. You need to be flexible, and being flexible means to be more of a psychologist, more pedagogical, more of a diplomat—but not a diplomat in the negative sense of hypocritical and sly. True diplomacy implies wisdom.
A sage is a diplomat who, depending on the given situation or individual, knows what method to apply to do the most good. A sage, a true sage, thinks and finds ways to manoeuvre like a sailor who knows the currents and reefs, and knows how to steer their craft to avoid shipwreck. So, flexibility implies wisdom. To be flexible in life means to be wise and have psychological insight.*
