'Every year, in the spring, the sun begins to warm the ground, and seeds snuggled deep in the soil awake from their silent sleep when they feel the sun caressing and calling to them, inviting them to rouse themselves and begin their work. There is a form of life dormant in plants in the winter which stirs in the spring and begins to move in response to the call of the sun. Seeds start pushing up out of the soil, and men and women rejoice because they see they are going to have a good harvest and enough to eat. |
