Politics and human nature: understanding personality and the individua

'A great deal of knowledge is necessary in order to work in the political arena, knowledge that even politicians don’t possess.

In order to be elected, they promise voters everything imaginable, but, once they have won their seat, there is not really much they can do; their powers are very limited and they learn that it is not so easy as they thought. For my part, I think that it is the seat that is the cause of all their difficulties; they should never occupy the same seat as their predecessors, for each seat has a memory. Each seat is impregnated by the influences and emanations of all those who have occupied it and who have never fulfilled their promises and, in this way, each new occupant is necessarily affected by these influences. Yes, it is obviously the seat that is at fault. Don’t laugh!

As you see, I can find an explanation for everything. If the kingdom of God has not yet been established on earth it is because people work only for political goals dictated by their personality. When I analyse the aims of politicians, I find that they are uniformly mediocre. Oh, of course, they are dressed up and painted in bright colours to dazzle the public, but a closer look shows you that they all boil down to the same thing: ‘Move over and make room for me!’ They are all the same! But, little by little, people will realize that you cannot make a violin with a bit of old lumber; you have to find the right kind of wood. Yes, politicians must be prepared and instructed in initiatic schools, otherwise they will continue to lead the nations to disaster.

It is a case of the blind leading the blind, and you know what the Gospel says: ‘If one blind person guides another, both will fall into a pit.’ Unfortunately, it is only years later that people realize that their blindness has led to catastrophe. Look at Hitler and Stalin and a host of others: they were monsters, murderers – and yet people acclaimed them and flocked to them!
